Andy Holden (born 1982 in Blunham, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom)[1] is a British Artist. Holden is the son of leading ornithologist Peter Holden [1]
Holden trained at Cambridge Regional College as well as Goldsmiths, University of London and worked as an assistant to Jason Rhoades.[1] His Pyramid Piece, an enormous knitted boulder, was exhibited in the Art Now space at Tate Britain[2] from 8 January to 10 April 2010, and was created out of the guilt of accidentally stealing a piece of the Pyramid at Giza as a child.[3] Holden later returned the piece and was praised by the director of the Great Pyramid of Giza Research Association for helping to raise awareness of the need to preserve historic sites.[4]
